All USPTA certified professionals have participated in an extensive education and testing process which included:
1. Completion of the Professional Tennis Coaches Academy
2. A 100-question written exam covering business and instruction
3. A stroke analysis and tennis grips exam
4. A playing exam
5. An on-court exam that requires teaching a private and a group lesson.
Daniel Nabedrick has been the Director of Tennis at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club (GVGCC) since 1997. He runs Tennis and Fun summer camps through out the entire summer, as well as junior tennis in the spring and fall seasons. Junior tennis includes learning the basics of tennis and USTA quick start tennis for the younger kids, as well as playing matches for all ages. The campers spend the day playing tennis, swimming, and hanging out with their friends.
Dan also offers Top Gun Academy at GVGCC, which is a tennis program for the older, more advanced players. These players participate in USTA tournaments and play for their high school teams.
In addition to the junior tennis programs, Dan also offers adults tennis drills in the mornings and evenings. These include back to basics tennis, for new players and rusty beginners, as well as more advanced cardio and fitness tennis and singles/doubles strategy drills.
